We remain most proud of the fact that America achieved independence from tyranny and, in turn, provided constitutional protections against the rise of tyranny on American soil.
The birth of America as an independent nation is a testament to the astounding achievement of a revolutionary movement against kingdom and against arbitrary rule that favors the privileged over the under-privileged.
The foundation of America is based on faith in “one God” to provide “indivisible” freedom for all who live on American soil under the vigilant protections provided by the American Constitution. Every citizen is called to use his or her voice to speak up when the precepts of the Constitution are called into question or challenged.
Americans, you are being called now to use your rights as citizens to speak, write, and act in protest against the abuses of governmental protections that ensure the “liberty and justice for all,” regardless of race, religion, gender, economic status or sexual orientation.
Criminality of an individual should be determined by evidence and the arrest of an individual should signify the weight of that evidence with final judgement rendered in a court of law. To do otherwise is unjust, criminal, in and of itself, and in violation of the American Constitution.
Leaders who engage in such unjust behavior, who enable unjust behavior, or who are negligent in doing their duty to prevent such behavior are culpable and should be held to account for their actions.
At what point do we allow the privileged to decide the fate of our nation, our rights, and our future?
Our nation should reflect the diversity of the world and celebrate the uniquenesses of individuals and those uniquenesses should be protected from harm.
The American revolutionary spirit of our forefathers must live on in our hearts and minds with same spark and fire that brought us to this point in our history. Let America continue to be born in that spirit.
